Restoration Habitat – Quail Hill Loop

Stewardship

Dislike artichoke thistle? This is the activity for you! One of the most problematic weed species in Orange County, Artichoke thistle (Cynara cardunculus) aggressively competes with our native plants for resources and spreads rapidly once established. Therefore, removal of artichoke thistle helps suppress new invasions and creates opportunities for native species to thrive. Past efforts to remove artichoke thistle at Quail Hill have made a difference but eradication can only happen with your further support. Training, tools, gloves, and chaps will be provided to ensure your safety.
