Exploring Bommer: Springtime Salad

Exploring Bommer: Springtime Salad

Things are blooming into tasty treats along the trails this season. Discover which plants are used for our native animals’ meals and which were used historically on the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks. We will have a chance to enjoy some of the “springtime salad” mixings before exploring the trails in Bommer Canyon. Food tastings will only take place during this program before the hike, as the plants along the trails are left only for the animals. Those with food allergies please be aware certain foods served may contain nuts, soy and milk.

This program occurs concurrently with the monthly Wilderness Access Day. The trails will be available for self-guided access from 8am until 2pm.

Please review the Difficulty Ratings on the brown banner above before registering. Understanding the 1-through-5 ratings system will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
