Cancelled Due to Pending Weather – Earth Day Restoration in Santiago Canyon

Stewardship

Cancelled due to pending rain and the sensitivity of this project’s habitat in wet conditions.

Please come celebrate Earth Day and join Irvine Ranch Conservancy land stewards to remove invasive Tree Tobacco and Castor Bean and any trash we find in beautiful Santiago Canyon. These trees crowd out native trees and shrubs that support wildlife. We will be continuing successful clearing of these trees from past stewardship events further upstream and will focus on a section of Santiago Wash just east of Irvine Regional Park. We will be doing vigorous work on uneven surfaces. We would appreciate your help in restoring the land so the native habitat can thrive.
