Better Birding Basics: Birds and Habitats

Interpretive

Agua Chinon is a special place for our local birds. This sensitive habitat is undergoing big restoration efforts, including extra watering, which provides an abnormal amount of extra moisture for the area. Find out what which birds call this canyon and other habitats home during our bird migration season. Join a group of bird lovers welcoming back our winter birds as we look for possible late migrants visiting this sensitive habitat. Please wear sturdy shoes suitable for hiking, along with sun protection such as a hat and sunscreen. Bring your binoculars, or some are available for your use.

This program is part of Better Birding Basic series. You can attend all three as a series or choose to attend one individually.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
