Second Thursday Habitat Restoration in Big Canyon

Please join the Irvine Ranch Conservancy to help restore habitat for wildlife in Big Canyon! Participants will engage in a range of activities from sowing seed and planting native plants to general site maintenance. Participants will enjoy a good workout while helping improve their native community! This event will include bending and kneeling and potentially walking across slopes and uneven terrain. Training, tools, gloves, and chaps will be provided to help protect you from potential encounters with poison oak, bees, and rattlesnakes. Note that this activity is held on the 2nd Thursday of each month.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-4 activity on the land.
