CANCELLED due to Trail Conditions: Irvine Ranch History Ride

Ride into the heart of Weir Canyon to hear tales of the Irvine Ranch while on horseback. This docent-led equestrian ride will travel along old ranch roads through historic oak groves, sharing stories about earlier times on the ranch and how this area became one of southern California’s gems. This former ranchland, now preserved as the beautiful Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks, is home for red-tailed hawks, mule deer, Mountain lion, oak woodlands and coastal sage, and provides the backdrop to this historical equestrian tour.

You must have your own horse. Both rider and horse must be fit for 3-4 hours over moderate terrain, including hills. Contact Bob Torrez for more information bobt@champsteel.com

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-3 activity on the land.
