CANCELLED: Tree Tobacco and Castor Bean Removal in Fremont and Santiago Creek

Tree tobacco and castor bean are exotic trees that invade our canyons. Volunteers have been helping to successfully fight back these populations for four years in Fremont and Santiago Canyon. Your help is needed to remove remaining plants and continue to keep these weeds at bay to help natives shrubs return. We will be working in rocky stream beds on uneven terrain away from trails and will use various tools to extract and treat plants. Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this Level 4 activity on the land.
