Milk and Italian thistles push out native wildflowers, grasses and oak seedlings in our oak woodlands. Over the last seven years, volunteers have successfully helped to clear out these thistles from trail side areas in Weir Canyon. Join us in this family friendly activity to keep these weeds at bay and allow native habitat to recover. The event will include bending, kneeling and pulling weeds by hand and with hand tools. Training, tools, and gloves will be provided.
Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-3 activity on the land.
