Canyon Explorers: Shooting Stars

Each night after the sun sets, the twinkling stars come out for a fun game of connect the dots! Draw a line here, connect it over there and what do you get? A Dragon! Come explore our night sky as we discover the creatures in our constellations during this summertime evening hike.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.

This program is a perfect evening adventure for children 6 – 10 years of age. We will spend time exploring our program’s topic out on the trails to better connect our natural history knowledge with the surrounding canyon. Our hike is a 2 – 3 mile trek along uneven terrain, with possible hills and moderate elevation for children. This is not ideal for off-road strollers. Parent or guardian must register and attend along with their child.
