Native Plant Nursery at Quail Hill

Native Plant Nursery at Quail Hill

Please join us at the Community Stewardship Native Plant Nursery located at the Quail Hill Trailhead in Irvine. We have been growing native Purple needle grass and Cobweb thistle, and they are now ready to plant! We will be meeting at the nursery within the trailhead yard to gather our plants, and then we will head to the loop trail planting site (around 150 yards from the trailhead). Your work at the nursery will help to enhance the native habitat at Quail Hill – directly benefiting the local wildlife!

Tools and training will be provided, and no experience is necessary. Please note that Native Plant Nursery community stewardship days occur every first Sunday and fourth Thursday of the month.

Weather: if trails are closed due to wet and muddy conditions, and it is not actively raining, we will still meet and work within the nursery.
