Tecate Cypress Stewardship in Fremont Canyon

Tecate Cypress Stewardship in Fremont Canyon

Due to trail conditions at Dripping Springs, this Monday’s stewardship will be planting Tecate Cypress in Fremont Canyon. The Tecate Cypress is a rare species found only in southern California and northern Baja California. Unfortunately, the northern most population in the Santa Ana Mountains is in severe decline due to too-frequent wildfires. Join us in the effort to ensure the persistence of this unique forest community here in Orange County! We will be planting Tecate seedlings in beautiful Fremont Canyon, working in close proximity to the staging area. No experience is necessary; all tools and training will be provided.
