Canyon Explorers: Critter Scene Investigators

The canyon is full of mysteries for you to solve! Become a nature investigator as you learn how to decipher animal scats, tracks and bones as you go on an explorative hike in Bommer Canyon. Investigate critter scenes and figure out the clues of who was here!

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.

A perfect evening adventure for children 6 – 10 years of age. We will spend time exploring our program’s topic, which varies each month, out on the trails to better connect our natural history knowledge with the surrounding canyon. Our hike is a 2 – 3 mile trek along uneven terrain, with possible hills and moderate elevation for children. This is not ideal for off-road strollers. Parent or guardian must register and attend along with their child.
