J.O.Y. for Nature: Wilderness Pharmacy

Come learn about essential first aid skills to keep you safe while having fun in the great outdoors. You will have a chance to learn some basic first aid skills, understand important plants that can help you in need and certain plants to avoid, as well as understanding how certain plants can benefit our daily lives. Discover what it takes to be a Pharmacist in nature as you test your new knowledge in a first aid skills challenge course.

J.O.Y. for Nature (Juniors or Youths for Nature), a weekly series in July, is dedicated to showcasing different career opportunities in nature for tweens. From examining tiny bugs to exploring outer space, each week will investigate a different nature-related profession. This series is geared towards students ages 9 – 12, who are interested in discovering more about the natural world around them.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
