Map and Compass Navigation: Part III

Tap into topographical map-reading and compass skills while viewing the Santiago Canyon vistas.  This program is designed for beginners or those who want to brush up on their map and compass skills. The Map and Navigation class is designed to build knowledge and skills while applying these new techniques in the field.

This is the third in a three part series, though you are welcome to take each course separately. Please bring your own compass, or use your smart phone compass Apps.  We will explore the trails during the summer mornings, so please wear proper sun protection such as a hat or sunscreen.  The program will not take place if it is 90 degrees or higher.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
