Bouncing Bats in Limestone Canyon

Interpretive
Bouncing Bats in Limestone Canyon

As the day starts to settle into night, our daytime animals shift over to our nighttime critters.  Come hear fascinating tales of our flying mammal, the bat. We will head out towards a popular roosting location to watch for our nighttime wonders start their night adventures. Please dress warmly as it may be chilly at night. A camping chair is welcome as we will enjoy an extended period of time watching the bats fly about the night.

This program is ideal to visually observe the bats in flight, though bat detectors are available to listen for their high-frequency calls as well.

You are welcome to bring a camping chair to rest in and a blanket to keep you warm. Please be able to carry these items over a half mile.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-1 activity on the land.

Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start time as gates will close at 7:00 Pm.
