Celebrate Cultures in Nature - Summer Solstice

Throughout time, man has rejoiced in the beginning of longer days and shorter nights during the summer solstice. This midsummer celebration is observed throughout many cultures, with various traditions of celebrating with bonfires, rolling barrels, grand feasts. Discover how long this celebration has taken place while you enjoy the gorgeous scenery around you on the Mesa in Black Star Canyon Wilderness Park.   

Discover unique historical tales about the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks as we celebrate different cultures together! Each month, a different culture and celebration will be highlighted, usually with the program presented in multiple languages which allows everyone to fully enjoy the beauty of the land. This month we focus on Summer Solstice.
