Canyon Explorers: Amazing Snakes

Canyon Explorers: Amazing Snakes

Come hear the helpful ways our native snakes keep our habitat healthy. From beautiful boas to shakin’ rattlesnakes, we will get to know which ones to steer clear from along the trails. Learn some helpful tips of what to do if you do encounter a rattlesnake as we hike along the trails in Bommer Canyon.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.

This program is a perfect afternoon adventure for children ages 6 – 10 years of age. We will spend time exploring our program’s topic, maybe create a craft or play a game, before we head out on the trails to practice what we learned. Our hike will be a gentle one mile trek along uneven terrain. Off road strollers are welcome to join the fun!

Parents or guardians must register themselves and their child(ren).
