Modjeska's Summertime Shakespeare

Experience Shakespeare under the mighty oaks at Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens. The Modjeska Shakespeare Players will bring to life various pieces of Shakespearean plays that Madame Modjeska once performed. Immerse yourself in the wonderful world of characters from Romeo and Juliet, Henry V, and Midsummer’s Night Dream, along with assorted Shakespearean monologues and songs. The audience will be seated in the shade but it is encouraged to bring sun protection, wear closed-toed shoes and water. Lemonade from Count Bozanta’s lemon trees will be provided as a sweet treat.

After the performance, tour Helena Modjeska’s home and stroll through the gardens. Docents will help you take a step back in time as your move through the history of the house.

Event is free but registration is required as space is limited. Parking is off site with a complementary shuttle service provided. Registration limited to three guests maximum. If including a second or third person, please select either 2 or 3 to include their names with your registration.
