Limestone Canyon Photography Truck Tour

Limestone Canyon Photography Truck Tour

Join us on a backcountry wilderness driving tour filled with great sightseeing and photographic opportunities. Our journey begins at the Hicks Haul Staging Area, where you will board the back of an open-air, ten-seat, 4-wheel drive vehicle for a tour of Limestone Canyon.
We will stop occasionally for 10-15 minutes or so to admire the views, take photos and answer questions. We will visit the Sinks (Orange County’s mini-“Grand Canyon”), Box Canyon and Loma Ridge. At one point we’ll park and hike to Dripping Springs, a 2 mile round trip hike, with 200 ft. of elevation gain. When not admiring the canyons and ridges, you’ll enjoy the wilderness setting. Depending on the season, fields of wildflowers may also present themselves.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.

Bring your camera equipment, or just enjoy the ride. Be prepared, as an observer, to accompany the Conservancy docents on narrow, winding, bumpy (dusty) dirt roads with steep hills and slick rock surfaces. A hat, jacket, sunscreen, water, snacks and a lunch are recommended. The number of spaces is strictly limited. Please be confident your schedule permits you to attend due to the limited spaces available.
