Modjeska's Spring Open House

Spring into the season with various Shakespearean performances at Arden: Helena Modjeska Historic House and Gardens.

One of the most famous Shakespearean actresses of the late Victorian era, Madame Modjeska embraced the stage, transforming herself in her various roles. Her home, designed in 1888 by renowned New York architect Stanford White, is one of the only two National Historic Landmarks in Orange County.

After the performance, tour the historic house as docents share their tales of life on the Modjeska Ranch. Sample Polish treats, enjoy music, and taste the famous Modjeskas, a caramel marshmallow confection that Madame Modjeska approved herself.

View artworks displayed throughout the house from the participants of the Art at Arden program.

Event is free but space is limited. To reserve your seats, please call (949) 923-2230. Parking directions will be sent via email closer to the event.
