Habitat Restoration at The Bowl: Crystal Cove State Park

Come help us as we work on a restoration project and experiment in Crystal Cove State Park’s Moro Canyon. The project is being run in partnership with State Parks, Crystal Cove Conservancy, and UC Irvine. We will have several volunteer opportunities over the next few months to help restore this site. There will be different stages to the project, and we will be seeding, planting and always weeding in an area that you will learn to lovingly call “The Bowl”. Join us to restore this habitat for the native animals and plants that call it home.

Please bring gloves (If you have them), water bottle, sunscreen, hat and a snack. You’ll want to wear pants and close-toed shoes appropriate for walking and working off trail. Be prepared to walk 20 minutes through mostly flat trails to get to the project site. The activity for the day (seeding, planting, or weeding) will be dependent on the site need at the time.
