Santiago Oaks Guided Nature Hike

Interpretive
Santiago Oaks Guided Nature Hike

Join us on a moderate 2-mile hike that includes climbing 400 feet above the amazing Santiago Creek watershed as we watch for raptors, birds, and other wildlife. Along the way, you will learn about some of the animals that call the park home and how they are dealing with the recent Canyon 2 fire.

Our experienced docent will talk about the surrounding Santa Ana mountain landscape and the fire history of this area. Please meet at the Nature Center First Floor Conference Room where the hike will begin with a short indoor presentation about all things Santiago Oaks.

This program is for participants seeking a slower-paced educational hike. Wear comfortable clothes, sturdy shoes, and bring water for the hike. Be ready to enjoy the sounds and sights of this hidden gem of the OC Parks system
