Join us on this docent-led mountain bike ride in the historic Weir Canyon Nature Preserve. This is a slow-paced ride designed for the intermediate rider who is in excellent cardio shape and physically fit. The rider has experience and skills, but may need to move slowly in more technical areas with steep descents/ascents. Riders must have a minimum of one year of mountain bike experience.
The ride begins at the Outdoor Education Center in Irvine Regional Park and travels through the beautiful oak woodlands of Weir Canyon Road before climbing up to the Overlook Trail. The Overlook Trail is a non-technical single track trail runs on a ridgeline that provides 360 degree views of the surrounding area. Please note the elevation change for the ride and be informed that almost all of this elevation change is on the single climb to the Overlook Trail.
