Come help Newport Bay Conservancy install native plants at our Bayview Drainage restoration site! The Bayview Drainage project was completed in 2019 and restored a heavily eroded hillside. Native plants have been installed to increase biodiversity and a drainage basin has been created to reduce sediments and pollutants from entering the bay.
We need your help to install a variety of coastal sage scrub and riparian plants within the site to fill in bare areas. Newport Bay Conservancy staff will teach you proper planting techniques, no experience necessary. All tools and supplies will be provided.
Minors must have a legal guardian present at all times.
