Painting the Birds of Santiago Oaks

Interpretive
Painting the Birds of Santiago Oaks

Enjoy the birds of Santiago Oaks in more detail as we paint our feathered friends! Start the program off watching birds in their natural habitat, then settle down to draw, sketch or paint your observations of taxidermy birds in a controlled environment. Bring your own art materials (paper, journals, pencils, paints, etc.!), and settle in to paint a variety of birds that call Santiago Oaks home.

This program does not provide art materials or art instruction. Listen to a naturalist share insight into bird behavior and observe the fine details of taxidermy bird mounts. Bring binoculars if you have them, and your own creative style and materials! Tone of program designed for young adults and older.

Program is free though there is a Park Entrance Fee per entry vehicle. Rain may cancel this program. For questions, please contact Kelley.Brugmann@ocparks.com or 714-973-6625
