IRC Farm Steward Workday
IRC Farm Stewards are invited to help out at this “openhouse style” workday!
Our tasks and actual location are TBD, and they will be based on accomplishing the Farm’s top priority work for each specific week. Depending on the time of year we might be at the Farm doing planting, weeding, doing nursery things, or at the Extension center cleaning Farm & wild seed , or something else entirely new!

Come see some amazing Orange County native wildflowers in bloom!
The Orange County Chapter of California Native Plant Society and the Irvine Ranch Conservancy invite you to an informal open house at the Conservancy’s Native Seed Farm. This event is a great way to see some blooms and learn more about how the OC California Native Plant Society (OC-CNPS) and the Conservancy are conserving, protecting, and restoring native wildflowers in Orange County.
You will learn about some of the native flora grown right here on the Farm. OC-CNPS will also provide some talks on various local engagement opportunities, including information about field trips and their upcoming native garden tour.

Wildflowers & Pollinators: A Backstage Pass at the Native Seed Farm
Join Farm Steward hosts as they showcase the flourishing flowers and their pollinators on a nature walk through the Native Seed Farm. What pollinators are attracted to those beautiful blossoms, birds, bees, or bats? Learn about pollinators and how you can attract these amazing creatures to your garden. Bees, beetles, moths, butterflies, bats, and birds are just a few of the beneficial creatures that help create an ecosystem right in your own backyard! See which native plants are grown at the Native Seed Farm and used in our restoration efforts. This program includes a tour of the Native Seed Farm which grows 50 species of native plants. Bring your camera to take photos of the beautiful blooms and learn about where the Restoration begins!
