- Wear your OC Fire Watch gear — including your Fire Watch vest — and display your vehicle magnets.
- Park your vehicle perpendicular to the road if possible, so magnets are visible to both directions of traffic.
- Report any situation that may cause accidental ignitions.
- Document as much as possible from your location.
- Watch for suspicious or dangerous activities — report and record them with photos or written descriptions.
- Talk to people, be friendly and explain the extreme fire danger.
- Call 911 if you see any signs of fires or dangerous situations.
- Be a presence to deter any potential arsonists.
