Description

Cancelled due to Fire Watch

Join us on this interpretative hike to learn about the geologic evolution of Orange County and historic mining activities in the county. We’ll hike up to our turnaround point, the Fremont Weather Station, where winds are often clocked at 100 mph, and then pass by the site of an abandoned coal mine as we return to our starting point. This hike is challenging but you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views of Orange County and the Cleveland National Forest. Please bring a minimum of 70 oz. water and trail snacks.
