Description

Do you enjoy looking at the Red Rock cliffs in Black Star Canyon? Have you wondered how they look like from other perspectives and with different landscape backdrops? Have you wished that you could experience their beauty when they are fully lit by the early morning light at sunrise? Join us on our hike along the new SilMod trail. As we climb above the open reparation landscape of the staging area, the unusual Red Cliffs  are exposed with mountains as the backdrop. Further up the trail, never seen views of  the red cliffs, Irvine Lake, Limestone and Black Star Canyons appear. In the other direction from the trail, catch the Sun breaking over the Santa Ana Mountains. The program is designed so to admire the views, take photos and sketch landscapes. Depending on the season, fields of wildflowers will also present themselves. Bring your camera equipment, sketchpads and plenty of water. The trail is well maintained; however wear sturdy shoes suitable for walking over irregular surfaces.
