• Wear your Irvine Ranch Conservancy gear – including your Fire Watch vest — and display your vehicle magnets.
• Park your vehicle perpendicular to the road if possible, so magnets are visible to both directions of traffic.
• Intervene and report any situation that may cause accidental ignitions.
• Document as much as possible from your location.
• Watch for suspicious or dangerous activities-report and record them with photos or written descriptions.
• Talk to people, be friendly and explain the extreme fire danger.
• Call 911 if you see any signs of fires or dangerous situations
• Be a presence to deter any potential arsonists.
• Watch your surroundings for your own safety. Be aware of potential falling limbs, power lines, exit routes, etc.

Due to the poor cell phone reception in parts of the canyons IRC Radios have been placed in the Black Star & Augustine staging area bins. Please sign out radio and return them after your shift

Complete the Fire Watch Report Form (click here for download site) at the end of your shift and email it to Kevin Mcarthur  at kmcarthur@irconservancy.org
