Fire Watch: July 4th 2018 – Irvine Regional Park #1 ( Park Entrance)

Every year during the 4th of July celebration, illegal fireworks are the leading cause for fires in County Parks and open space preserves. OC Parks and OCFA have asked us to assist in their fire prevention efforts by providing an additional presence in parks over this peak holiday. Locations have been selected due to their high attendance, and high fire activity due to illegal fireworks. Shifts at these locations reflect peak attendance hours for these parks. Locations may be different than a normal Red Flag Fire Watch deployment and may include volunteers providing walking patrols within the park. They have been chosen after extensive research, and the assistance from OC Parks and OCFA staff.
