Description

The New Volunteer Training hike is designed to showcase the ins and outs of a public program, such as proper program set up of materials, program structure and procedures, reading emergency access maps, understanding trail routes, operating the gates, locks, and radios, materials to carry on a program, and discussing situations that can occur along the trail. These details will better prepare Trainees to become Trail Guides and appropriately assist on private and public programs.

All levels of volunteers are welcome! By having other Trail Guides and Leads attend this training hike, Trainees will be able to hear personal experiences on the trail from other volunteers.
