Description

There is a rustic and fairy tale look about the office grounds of Santiago Oaks Regional Park.  Set in the middle of oak woodland and riparian habitat it’s a great place for weddings and work conferences.

The grounds are planted with a variety of plants some of which are California native plants.  We need help nurturing the plants that make the grounds so beautiful.  If you would like to learn more about how to care for California native plants we can teach you.  Experience is not necessary.  OC Park volunteer trainees are welcome.

Training, tools and work gloves will be provided.  Duties and tasks may include weeding, supplemental watering, planting new plants, laying mulch, dead-heading flowering plants, giving plants fertilizer and more. Much of the work will under the shade of big oak and sycamore trees but bring sunscreen and a hat just in case.  Please bring water and wear closed-toed and heeled shoes.  No flip flops or sandals please.
