We are thrilled to invite you to another installment of Volunteer TREKS: Training, Resources, Education, Knowledge, and Stories! This opportunity is for volunteers and their guests to develop their knowledge on various topics related to the natural and cultural resources found within Orange County while earning volunteer hours.
Please join us on Wednesay, February 19th from 6 to 8 p.m. at Irvine Ranch Conservancy Headquarters (located at 4727 Portola Parkway, Irvine, 92620) for an exciting lecture and Q&A with OC Parks Natural Resources Program Coordinator, Alisa Flint.
Spring is just around the corner, bringing the joys of discovering some of Orange County’s native bulbs and wildflowers, which grace us with their presence for only a short while each year. This talk will offer practical hints and tips to help you identify and locate some of the region’s more elusive spring flora species.
Alisa brings over 20 years of experience in ecology, botany, and habitat restoration. She is certified as an associate field botanist through the California Native Plant Society and as an arborist through the International Society of Arborists. Her work is characterized by her dedication to environmental stewardship and her ongoing contributions to habitat restoration in Southern California.
***Registration is required to participate, as there are limited spaces available. Volunteers are welcome to invite up to two additional guests to join. Light refreshments will be served.***
