This training is Part 1 in a 2-part series. There is NO scheduled location and time for this Part 1 Online Session.
This session is done online at your own pace (approx. length is 2-4 hours) — but must be completed before the In-Person Assessment that you register for (available dates are listed below).
Within 24 – 48 hours upon registering, you will be emailed a link and instructions for the online course from “Health & Safety Institute.” Course content will be delivered through this online learning portal and will guide you through all aspects of learning CPR/First Aid. Throughout the online training session, you will be required to answer questions and assessments about the content delivered.
The online session should be completed as soon as possible after receiving the online materials and must be taken before attending the required Part 2 In-Person Skills Assessment (available dates are listed below). Both the Part 1 Online Session and Part 2 In-Person Skills Assessment must be taken within 60 days of each other.
Once you register for the Part 1 online session, you will be sent a separate email which contains another link to register for one 2.5 hour In-Person skills Assessment (Part #2 of 2).
Please make sure that you will be able to register for and attend one of the below In-Person Skills Assessments — as you may not be able to combine your completed Part 1 CPR/First Aid Online Session with future In-Person Skills Assessment dates in future rounds of IRC Volunteer CPR/First Aid Training if more than 30 days have passed.
The dates available are:
Saturday, May 31, 2025 (10:00 am – 12:30 pm)
Saturday, May 31, 2025 (1:00 pm – 3:30 pm)
These in-person sessions will be held indoors in the Conference Room at the IRC offices with maximum 10 persons in attendance and in accordance with all current COVID-19 health protocols. There will be plenty of room for social distancing.
IRC Volunteers MUST complete both online and in-person sessions in order to complete the CPR/First Aid training and receive certification.
IRC Volunteers may not attend class #2 of 2 until the online session is completed first.

All IRC Volunteers must be current in both CPR and First Aid, and this class takes care of the requirement. Whether you need a new certification or need to be re-certified this class is appropriate!
