Description

Join us and learn about nature’s amazing adaptations to recover from wildfire. Weir Canyon contains fascinating real life examples as the grassland, coastal sage and oak woodland habitats recover from the effects of the 2017 Canyon Fire 2.

We will be walking, with stops for discussion, through Weir Canyon during the majority of the 2.5 hours. There is some moderate elevation on the wide dirt trail. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and sun protection, and please bring plenty of water.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
