Description

If you’ve ever muttered the phrase, “southern California doesn’t have seasons,” we are here to change your mind. While the seasons in Orange County may be more subtle than the rest of the country, the signs are there if you know where to look!

This month, join an OC Parks Resource Specialist for a walk through Peters Canyon to look for the subtle signs that herald an Orange County winter.

This program will begin in front of the Peters Canyon Park Office near the flagpole.

This is a slow-paced walk along Peters Canyon Trail, for a distance of over 2 miles with frequent stops and little to no elevation gain. Dressing comfortably, wearing sturdy footwear and bringing water are recommended. This hike is not recommended for very small children or strollers. Children must be accompanied by a guardian during the program.

The program is free and parking is $3 per vehicle.

Registration is not required for this program but is recommended.

For questions, please contact resource specialist Shelly Marshall at shelly.marshall@ocparks.com.
