OC Parks would like to invite you and your kids to a fun morning of fishing at Mile Square Regional Park! This Fishing Clinic is designed to teach families how to fish responsibly, while giving them a chance to catch a few from our lake. The program will take place at the South Lake near the park ranger station and entrance off of Euclid Street.
Whether this is your first time fishing or you’re a regular, you will have fun in this hands on educational program! Instructors will be on hand to demonstrate, assist and answer any questions, so no previous experience is necessary.
All the needed equipment and bait will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own. Any participant over the age of 16 must poses a valid California fishing license if they want to fish (fishing licenses can be purchased online here). This is a catch and release program and the lake will have been recently stocked with Trout. Bring your own cooler if you’d like to take fish home.
Advance registration is required.
This program is free and parking is $5 per vehicle.
For questions call (657) 735-3596 or email averil.lough@ocparks.com.
