Description

Journey into the tranquil beauty of Modjeska Canyon Nature Preserve, a hidden gem nestled in the foothills of the Santa Ana Mountains. This program includes a 0.75-mile guided hike that takes you along a trail enveloped by a lush canopy of mature oak trees and other native flora, as well as a brief interpretive tour of the grounds and residence established in the 1920s.

Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a curious beginner, this hike is a wonderful opportunity to connect with nature and its history.

Please note:

  • Advance registration is required. Every individual, including children, must be registered.
  • This is a moderate difficulty hike with uneven terrain and approximately 300-ft elevation gain. Hiking poles are recommended.
  • Parking is limited. Carpooling is strongly recommended.
  • No dogs permitted on the trail.
  • Please make sure to bring a minimum of 16 oz. of water.
