Come celebrate Helena Modjeska’s birthday at her historic home of Arden!
Modjeska was one of the America’s most famous Shakespearean actresses of the late 19th century. Her home, designed in 1888 by renowned New York architect Stanford White, is one of two National Historic Landmarks in Orange County.
Enjoy an opportunity to sample some Polish food as well as watch a Polish Folk dance performance. You can also walk through the house and explore the grounds. OC Parks’ volunteer docents will be available to share stories and answer questions about the property and Helena Modjeska.
