Thank You

Thank you for your interest in the OC Parks Volunteer Program!

OC Parks Volunteers are a fundamental part of operating our County park system. These hard working, dedicated individuals play an important role in educating visitors about OC Parks vision, mission and core values. As such, all OC Parks Volunteers are required to attend formal park training and volunteer a minimum of 36 hours per year (3 hours per month).

  • Orientation and Public Interaction Workshop (6 hours)
  • Background review
  • CPR and First Aid training
  • Site specific training (time varies)

*Orientations are held six (6) times per year. We will email you the month prior to the our next training with updated information and registration instructions.*

**Volunteers that register for an orientation and do not show up for training without prior cancellation or communication to the Volunteer Coordinator (volunteer@ocparks.com) will be removed from the interest list and will have to wait up to one year to reapply.**

Intern interest will be followed up within one week of interest form submittal. Intern opportunities vary and may be full at the time of application. We try to match as many interns as we can and thank you for your understanding if it is not possible at the time of application.

Short Term Volunteer opportunities are available.

Thanks again, and watch for an email invitation to the Volunteer Orientation.
