Trail Love: Buried Treasure on Quail Trail

Trail Work
Trail Love: Buried Treasure on Quail Trail

When the light hits a certain section of Quail Trail just right, it glistens with partially buried “treasure” – pieces of glass and other mysterious bits left by previous land users. But not all treasure is good treasure. We will mine this material from the soil using shovels and screens to return the “cleaned” soil back to the trail. Afterward the trail will be less sparkly, but much safer for all trail users.

No trail work experience necessary, just a desire to work outdoors and get dirty!

All tools, gloves, water and light snacks will be provided. Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants and sun protection. A small pack is handy to carry water and snacks.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
