Fall Hike with Senator John Moorlach

Members of the public are invited to join Senator John Moorlach to enjoy spectacular views and hear updates on California’s 37th Senate district.

Join us on this morning hike to the abandoned coal mine in Fremont Canyon, with Senator Moorlach and naturalists from Irvine Ranch Conservancy. Beginning from Santiago Creek, we will hike up the Coal Mine Road to the coal seam that is visible along the road. We will then head back, descending the Coal Mine Road while we enjoy the far-reaching views of Orange County and the Santa Ana Mountains.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-4 activity on the land.
