Beginning Fitness Hike in Weir Canyon

Ready for a workout on upaved trails, but not sure where to start? Come join the fitness-focused hike in Weir Canyon Nature Preserve. Along the trail, you will travel through lush coastal sage scrub, open grasslands, and majestic oak woodlands. The hike is conducted at about 3 miles per hour over mainly level trails with opportunity to do one hill with elevation gain of 450 ft.

Please bring adequate water, wear sturdy shoes and be prepared to start your fitness workout! Remember, even though this is a beginning fitness hike, it is still faster than a walk. You must be able to hike the entire time without stopping. Please make sure you are in excellent physical condition!
