Fall Migrating Birds

Fall Migrating Birds

Limestone Canyon is one of Orange County’s great natural resources. It is a stopping point for many migrating birds as well as a permanent or seasonal residence for many others. Join a group of birders as we observe the birds of Limestone Canyon in September. We will be walking on a paved road across the bat bridge over Santiago Canyon Road. The path will take us through oak woodlands, coastal sage scrub, and grassland to a place that gives us a distance a view of Irvine Lake. Several species of raptors are common along this path.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-2 activity on the land.
