Naturalist Notebook Series: California Native Plant Society

The Irvine Ranch Conservancy is proud to introduce the Naturalist Notebook Series, which will offer a variety  topics to enhance your knowledge of the Landmarks  and Open Space. As well, it is an opportunity to provide interpretive engagement for the public.

Please join us as Brad Jenkins, Orange County Chapter President from the California Native Plant Society, shares information on native plants and flowers uses in your native plant garden.

Presentation Title: Wild Local Plants for Your Home Nature Garden

We will start with a short list of aesthetically pleasing, garden friendly, high nature-value plants for your garden. All these plants are found in Orange County wildlands and have ties to local wildlife. Then we will dig deeper into topics such as super hosts, how local should a plant be, more plants to add your yard, and simple landscape techniques.

Registration is required. We welcome volunteers, their guests, and the public.

All Irvine Ranch Conservancy volunteers please register for this event as a trainee to earn continuing education volunteer hours.  Space is limited.
