Explore beautiful Weir Canyon and surrounding wilderness areas on this fast-paced cardio hike. Along the trail, you’ll pass through grasslands, oak woodlands ,and coastal sage habitat recovering from the 2017 Canyon 2 fire . Multiple steep climbs and descents are included. Enjoy views of Saddleback Peak and the Cleveland National Forest along the way.

There is minimal to no shade on the route. You must carry your own adequate supply of water. Come prepared with a day pack, closed-toe hiking shoes or boots, sunscreen, snacks and any other supplies to keep you safe and healthy on the trail.
Remember, this cardio hike is much faster than a walk, and features a 2,000-foot elevation change. You must be able to hike uphill at an average pace of 3.5-to-4 mph without stopping. Please make sure you are in excellent physical condition!
