Community Stewardship Group Activity (Volunteer Support): Quail Hill

Please join us at the Quail Hill trail head in Irvine. Specific duties will be watering native shrubs, as well as weeding out pesky Russian thistle (tumbleweed) seedlings to ensure the newly planted natives have room to thrive. Your work will help to enhance the native habitat and directly benefit the local wildlife!

No experience is necessary.

Irvine Ranch Conservancy will provide gloves and tools, but you may bring your own gloves, if you prefer. Please note that participants must wear long sleeves and long pants, as well as sturdy closed-toe shoes or boots. A hat and sunscreen is highly recommended. Participants are also required to bring their own water.

Note: This is a wilderness area, there are natural hazards. Snakes, including rattlesnakes are occasionally seen here.

Thank you for your support of the Irvine Ranch Natural Landmarks!
