Join us on a twilight loop hike on the Mesa in Black Star Canyon. The hike will cover close to 3 miles round trip at an easy to moderate pace with a small elevation gain. We’ll be rewarded with beautiful panoramic views of the surrounding canyons and the sun setting behind the mountains. Keep your eyes open for any animals starting their nightly routines!
Participants must be able to walk on uneven surfaces in a wilderness environment. Come prepared wearing layered hiking clothes since the canyons can be cold in the evening. Closed-toe shoes or boots appropriate for walking on dirt trails and water to drink are a must! This hike starts next to the Library of the Canyons on Santiago Canyon Road.
Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this Level-2 activity on the land.
