Slow-Paced Mountain Bike Ride: Two Springs and The Sinks

Enjoy the relaxation of riding in the wilderness on empty trails when you join us on this docent led mountain bike ride through Limestone Canyon, one of the most pristine wilderness areas in Orange County. After an ascent of East Loma Ridge, we will visit Dripping Springs. This beautiful, fern covered, year-round source of water for local wildlife is an extremely sensitive area. We will continue exploring beautiful Limestone Canyon, on this serene morning ride as we ride to historic Box Springs. Along the way, we will also visit the west viewing deck of The Sinks, the 20-40 million year old geologic formation that is included prominently on all Orange County geographic must-see sites.

Reviewing the 1-through-5 Difficulty Ratings will help you evaluate your readiness to participate in this level-4 activity on the land. Motorized recreation vehicles of any class or type are not permitted for recreational use.

This is a slow-paced ride designed for the beginner to intermediate rider who is in excellent cardio shape and is physically fit, but sometimes needs to move slower on steep ascents/descents. We will ride both fire roads and non-technical single track trails. A few climbs have short steep sections that may be ‘hike-a-bike’ for some riders. The ride will regroup and rest as needed and an opportunity will be provided for a snack break.
